Haandbryggeriet Tap Takeover, CAMRA Pub Of The Month award & Beer Cocktails

Continuing our Scandanavian theme from the Lervig tap takeover last year, we are having a tap takeover featuring a varied range of 7 beers from Norwegian brewery Haandbryggeriet, available all day. In the evening we’ll be creating a range of beer cocktails in the evening to help ilus celebrate being awarded CAMRA pub of the month for March. The presentation takes place at 8pm, with cocktails from 7pm!

Sheffield Pub Heritage Walk

Dave Pickersgill (editor of ‘Sheffield Real Heritage Pubs’  www.sheffieldcamra.org.uk/rhp  and Pub Heritage Officer for Sheffield CAMRA) will host this walking tour around some of the entries in the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) ‘Yorkshire’s Real Heritage Pubs’ book. Also included are a number of ‘try also’ pubs which include aspects of architectural merit.

Route: commence at ‘Fagans’ and proceed to the ‘Dog and Partridge’ via a short stop outside the ‘Grapes.’ After a short refreshment break, we will proceed past the ‘Red Deer’ and ‘Bloo88,’ before completing the walk at ‘The Bath Hotel.’

Live Brew Day

The Tapped Brew Co brewers will be brewing at The Sheffield Tap on their kit in the Edwardian dinning room extension off the main pub room. They’ll be taking questions and happy to chat. So please do go up and have a chat about brewing, beer and specifically the use of malt and grains in beer. At 8pm after the brew has finished, Sheffield Tap will be handing out samples of some of their Tapped beers.

Sheffield beer week is focusing this year on celebrating women working in the beer industry so for this we thought we’d bring in the big guns to host a BOTTLE SHARE!
Laura Rangeley from Abbeydale Brewery and Mashtun and Meow will be hosting a BOTTLE SHARE along with Seven Hills Women’s Institute.
So bring along your favourite beer and share with the group!

Also, with LIVE ART from the talented, Lewis Ryan.

This will be a OPEN GENDER welcome session too!
