Homebrew Competition

Twisted Barrel Ale and Hop Hideout are joining forces as part of Sheffield Beer Week to provide a unique opportunity to home brewers. Keen home brewers from Coventry, Sheffield and their respective surrounding areas are invited to compete for the prize to brew a pilot kit beer at Twisted Barrel Ale that will be released on keg at Twisted Barrel’s Tap House in Coventry and Hop Hideout in Sheffield. 
 
Anyone wishing to enter should drop off 6 x 330ml bottles of their home brew creation (freestyle recipe) to either Twisted Barrel or Hop Hideout by Friday 10 March.
The entrants will be judged by representatives from Twisted Barrel and Hop Hideout during Sheffield Beer Week, with the winner announced during Home Brew Twitter Hour date tbc. 
 
Rules:
– any beer style allowed for entry
– entrants agree not to use any animal products in their beer, i.e; the beer must be vegan
– entrants must drop off 6 x 330ml bottles of their home brew (one recipe only allowed per entrant) by 5pm on Friday 10 March to Twisted Barrel Ale (Unit 5 Fargo Village, Coventry, CV1 5ED) or Hop Hideout (448 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, S7 1FR). No labels stuck on the bottles; please attach paper with beer name, style, abv, your name, email and telephone contact with an elastic band to each bottle. 
– judges decision is final
– winning participant must attend Twisted Barrel Ale brewery to brew their recipe commercially, travel expenses will be paid
