What: The tour starts at the Millowners Arms at Kelham Island Museum, a gallery celebrating Sheffield’s brewing heritage – complete with traditional bar. After a short talk, the event will follow a 1.2 mile route passing the oldest working brewery in Sheffield, a myriad of industrial sites, three more breweries and a number of pubs before finishing at the Gardeners Rest, close to the now derelict Cannon Brewery.

Dave Pickersgill is the Pub Heritage Officer for Sheffield and District CAMRA, Editor of ‘Sheffield’s Real Heritage Pubs’ and was shortlisted for the 2018 Citizen Communicator Award (British Guild of Beer Writers). A limited number of copies of the Sheffield’s Real Heritage Pubs will be available at a reduced price of £5.00.

What: The Rutland Team are opening a new venue called The Crow Inn (on Scotland Street in early April). In the meantime, being a bit of a beer fan, she’s helping us out with their later Sheffield Beer Week lineup. What: The second tour of the week with local historian Dave Pickersgill
showing us around his favourite boozers around Sheff. Dave Pickersgill (editor of ‘Sheffield Real Heritage Pubs’  www.sheffieldcamra.org.uk/rhp  and Pub Heritage Officer for Sheffield CAMRA) will host this walking tour around some of the entries in the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) ‘Yorkshire’s Real Heritage Pubs’ book. Route: commence at ‘Fagans’ and proceed to the ‘Dog and Partridge’ via a short stop outside the ‘Grapes.’ After a short refreshment break (not included in ticket price), we will proceed past the ‘Red Deer’ and ‘Bloo88,’ before completing the walk at ‘The Bath Hotel.’

What: A food pairing menu featuring the best of Thornbridge and Burning Sky Brewery. To round off Sheffield Beer Week, The Stag’s Head are hosting a Food and Beer Pairing with Burning Sky brewery.
