So from Indie Beer Feast to Sheffield Beer Week to pandemic. The landscape has changed unrecognisably in the last seven weeks and we’ve all had huge emotional and physical impacts to deal with personally, professionally and as a society. We cherish the absolutely amazing memories in the first week of March, and we’re so happy lots of people got to enjoy these too during Sheffield Beer Week, before the awfulness we’ve since had to face. A huge thank you to all keyworkers out there keeping the country and it’s people cared for.
After last night’s Government message, we still await clarity for the hospitality sector and pub trade. As time moves on fixed costs continue to rise for the sector, if we want to save our city centre and local high street and show our support and value (the emotional and economic value) of the independent beer sector in Sheffield. I urge you to write to your local MP. This can be done very easily and all online, so can take a matter of minutes. You don’t have to have a business, you can write from your local viewpoint.
There’s a template and link on Hospitality Union and as mentioned you can delete content and write as appropriate to your viewpoint. All details on this page #NationalTimeOut :
A huge thank you in advance for taking your time out to read this and to write to your local MP. With such uncertain times now and ahead, we need to pull together even more to get through.
